Community Info Sessions
Beginning this winter 2022-2023, two representatives from The Burlington Community Justice Center will begin hosting Community Information Sessions at event spaces across the City!
For our first series, Community-based Approaches to Public Safety, we invite you to join us in imagining across systems what community-based approaches to public safety could look like in our City. The presentation will include input from community-members as well as local, regional, and state level representatives and stakeholders. Community-based Approaches to Public Safety will focus on the current climate of crime and public safety in Burlington, the systemic root causes of crime and harm, existing support services and community-based approaches as well as the identification in gaps of those services and approaches. Each presentation will be followed by a Q&A.
For any questions about the event, or if you’d like to host a presentation at your event space, please contact Lauren Monaco Eddings at firstname.lastname@example.org.
See our events page for upcoming dates and locations and stay tuned—we'll be adding more dates!
